Electric motors are one of the most essential power sources in industry. Fans, pumps, compressors, gearmotor/reducer systems, conveyors, crushing plants, workshop machines… all of them need a reliable electric motor to operate. At DRG Motor, our aim is to meet this need with the right power, the right speed and the right mounting type, and to protect the user from unnecessary motor costs or wrong product choices.
What Is an Electric Motor?
An electric motor is a machine that converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. The most commonly used type is the asynchronous (induction) motor. Thanks to their robust structure, low maintenance requirement and long service life, these motors have become the standard in industry. DRG Motor’s product range is also based on these industrial-type asynchronous motors.
DRG Motor’s Product Range
At DRG Motor, there are many options suitable for different applications:
-
IE3 high-efficiency electric motors (for energy saving and compliance with regulations)
-
Motor options with efficiency close to IE4
-
Single-phase (monophase) electric motors: run on 220V, used in small workshops and agricultural equipment
-
Three-phase (triphase) electric motors: run on 380V industrial supply, suitable for continuous load
-
Aluminum frame motors: light, compact and easy to install
-
Cast iron frame motors: more durable for heavy-duty conditions such as crushing plants and compressor environments
-
Different mounting types: B3 foot-mounted, B5 flange-mounted, B14 compact flange, combined mountings
Thanks to this, the user can find clear answers not only to “how many kW?” but also to “what speed?”, “which frame?”, and “which mounting?”.
Electric Motor Prices
It is often not possible to state the electric motor price with a single figure, because the price depends on several main points:
-
Power (kW / HP): As the motor size increases, the price increases.
-
Speed (rpm): 3000, 1500, 1000 rpm, etc. have different price levels.
-
Efficiency class: There is a cost difference between IE2 and IE3, for example.
-
Frame material: Aluminum frame and cast-iron frame do not have the same price.
-
Mounting style: Foot-mounted or flange-mounted types may differ in cost.
Here DRG Motor provides the following: when the user describes the motor they need, DRG Motor offers the most suitable model and the corresponding price clearly. So the application is determined correctly first, and then the price is discussed. In this way, mistakes like “cheap but wrong motor” or “oversized and unnecessarily expensive motor” are prevented.
